Another crazy week this week, although I’m a little more rested than usual after a 3 day weekend instead of the usual 2. I’d like to find whoever cursed me with being the responsible one and have a little “chat” with them.
Progress towards the print edition of Impaler continues. It might feel glacial to me, but I have to keep reminding myself it’s a heck of a lot faster than if I’d been working with a traditional publisher.
Speaking of which… Kris Rusch has set off some interesting results with this post about ebooks and royalty statements. Be sure to read the update as well. I don’t know where it’s going to end, but I can guarantee there will be a wild ride ahead, and people who’ve been comfortable with the status quo are likely to find the changes challenging (That’s Kate being diplomatic about brown material en route to a set of rotating blades, and the likely need for brown corduroys among certain circles).
Follow Kris’s blog – not only is her business advice invaluable, she’s now inadvertently center stage for the changing world of publishing and books. That’s not a position I envy.
Now all I need is a clone or three so I can actually get things done. Too much stuff, not enough me. Isn’t that always the way?
